Okay. So. The thing about Foster is he has a degenerative neurological condition that's led to progressive systemic brain damage. This is, for example, why he drools: the disease encroached on his brain stem and led to dysphagia, meaning a malfunction of the swallow reflex. In addition to meaning he has a really hard time eating safely, the automatic reflex for it is basically gone. It's worse when he gets excited or worked up.
He's also sort of trapped by the fact that he's prone ot psychotic episodes of fluctuating intensity, and is actively delusional basically all the time with........ low insight at the best of times and no insight whatsoever 95% of it.
Anyway, this means that trying to think of specific features about his life is actually more challenging, because he is so PROFOUNDLY disconnected from that... he does have a fairly distinctive accent, though. It's sort of the story of "when one parent is white South African (Afrikaner) diaspora) and the other is a black American and they have a baby in New England..."
Also he usually smells like blood, but who the fuck is shocked.
